Seeing as we were flying out on Thursday morning, this Tuesday would be my last day to go for a dive. I was torn between just spending the day at the beach with my friends again or going for a dive, but figured I would do the dive and then just meet back up with everyone as I had been doing. Even though we went to the same two dive sites, these were really great dives – the second one especially as we returned to the shark cleaning station. I really felt in control of my breathing and my buoyancy during this dive, which was a rewarding feeling. I am starting to notice all this time I am putting in.
Think these are called banded pipefish. Really shy fish, but very cute.
One of my favorites that I've taken.
This one too.
This kind of reminds me of the Scream painting. Does anyone else see it?
And here are the shots from the second dive, back with the sharks (first the other things I saw).
Stars and Stripes Puffer
I like this one a lot too.
School of Trevallies.
Trevallies ... if you look closely you can see why they appear skittish.
Shark time!
When I regrouped with everyone back at Coral Bay we went on a bit of a walk to a more secluded area of the beach and played around as the sun set.
After the sunset we went out for delicious pizza at one of the cafes.
Shmoly Shmizz, Booboo! That yellow fish was workin' it! Tyra Banks would be proud. You captured it so beautifully. With that said, it's sometimes hard to single out my favorite pictures when they are all SO STUNNING, but the little yellow guy was particularly special, I agree!
Also, the picture of the silver fish (right above the picture of the starfish) is crazy --it totally looks like a robot!!
I agree with you on the"scream." Someone we know will be "screaming" at the shark shots (lots of K.O.W.). It's hard to believe that cute little yellow fish is one of the most venomous fish in the ocean. looks can be deceiving. Looks like everyone is having a blast and a half on the beach. What a time!!!
That photo of the box fish is great!!! I wish you could hear me--kept saying to Dad, "I saw those fish in the water. They don't just stand there and pose, y'know. How did he do that??!"
What's the black, spiky thing under the rock?? And I've never seen a starfish with that kind of patterning. So pretty.
It's cool the way that clam is set into the coral. And the stars-and-stripes puffer is just beautiful! I'd never seen one of those before.
I always love the pictures of your pals on the beach. What fun. And what beautiful sunsets. I also really love that Paradise Beach sign--great photos, Jules.
OH MY GOODNESS, that yellow fish photo is exquisite!!! when you're back, i want to show you how this artist printed this cool photo of a pear. i think you should try it! oh man, just beautiful....
