Writing this one from the Brisbane airport before our flight to New Zealand! But back to Friday morning on Heron Island…
Friday, Oct 15th: Once again I woke up early so I could fit in as many dives possible. For the fourth dive we went out to Three Rocks. Something pretty special about hopping on a boat and after only 5 minutes being right on the Great Barrier Reef. As I descended the mooring line I turned around and came face to face with this guy!
Was pretty excited to see a giant anemone hosting a few clownfish!
A different anemone also hosting. |
It's settled: next time I'm not just snorkeling, I'm diving with the big guys--we tried, right, Jules? I just love that pink nudibranch(?) in the middle here. So graceful and lovely.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your final posts from Heron Island!
So glad you got a few shots of some clown fish. Your pals in the tank at home will be very excited no doubt. What is the brown "thing" in the middle of the blog? It looks like a combination of a starfish, octopus and anemone. I've never seen anything like that.

I drop a comment when I like a article on a site or I have something to contribute to the discussion.
ReplyDeleteIt's triggered by the fire displayed in the article I browsed. And after this article "Part V: Three Rocks - Fourth Dive". I was moved enough to post a comment ;) I actually do have 2 questions for you if you tend not to mind. Is it only me or do a few of the comments look like left by brain dead folks? :-P And, if you are posting on other online sites, I'd like to keep up with everything new you
have to post. Could you make a list the complete urls of all your public sites like your
twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
